Lapis lazuli comes from Afghanistan, where the mines with the best quality veins are found; it is deep midnight blue with pyrite flecks that testify to its authenticity. It consists of two parts with a hinge that joins them together: the upper part is oval and takes the shape of the earlobe and is attached to it with a butterfly snap. The lower part follows the teardrop shape of the lapis lazuli. They come with a fine hammered texture enhancing the design and the stone. They are very elegant, festive and original earrings. The lapis lazuli is 1.8cm long and 1.2 at its widest part. The length of the earring is 3.9 cm. They are handmade
